Who we are

Aaria's Blue Elephant ("ABE," "we") is a nonprofit initiative building a more inclusive world for children, including children with autism and other special needs. Our website and games are built by volunteers and offered free of charge.

Educational purpose only

Our games are designed for learning through play — practicing everyday skills, social understanding, and personal-safety awareness. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, or emergency services, and they are not a substitute for professional evaluation, therapy (including ABA or counseling), medical advice, or the judgment of a child's caregivers, educators, and clinicians.

A grown-up should stay involved

• These games are intended to be played with adult awareness and involvement. Some activities ask an adult to review content before a child plays it, and adults can re-lock any section at any time.
• Safety-education content (for example, recognizing bullying and telling a trusted adult) is simplified for young learners. Please talk with your child about what they play — the conversation is the most important part.
• Every child is different. Caregivers know best whether a topic, pace, or activity suits their child.

These services are independent of ABE; we list them for convenience and do not operate them.

Privacy — what our games store

• Our games run entirely in your browser. Progress, stickers, saved creations, and adult sign-offs are stored only on your own device (browser local storage).
• We do not require accounts for games, and the games themselves do not collect, transmit, or sell personal information about you or your child.
• Clearing your browser data will erase game progress and any adult sign-offs on that device.

No warranties; limitation of liability

The games are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we test our games with care, we cannot guarantee they are error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ABE, its volunteers, and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, these games. Use of the games is at the user's discretion and risk, under the supervision of a responsible adult.

Content and characters

All characters and scenarios are fictional and taught by role (for example, "the teacher," "a firefighter") rather than by personal name. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Game content may change as we improve it, including in response to clinical review and caregiver feedback.

AI-assisted content — it may not always be ideal

Much of the content in our games and across this website — spoken lines, learning activities, practice scripts (including grown-up-and-child role-play prompts), stories, and translations — is created with the help of AI and reviewed by volunteers who are parents, not licensed clinicians. Despite our care, some wording, teaching approach, or activity may not be ideal for every child, and some content may be published before a clinical professional has reviewed it. Please treat the games as a friendly practice companion, not professional guidance, and adapt anything that does not suit your child. If you notice anything that seems off, confusing, or unsuitable — however small — please tell us at hi@aariasblueelephant.org. We read every message and fix things gratefully and quickly.
